BIG game today!

Currently level on points with Man Utd and a seemingly resurgent Arsenal, with a game in hand against bottom half opposition and then Liverpool up next.
Need to win games like this today if we have pretensions of staying top 4 or thereabouts...somewhere we've no real right to be given the spending power of the teams we're trying to compete with.
Turn Villa over and we're level with last season's run away champions after more than a quarter of the season which is significant and no mean feat.
COYI. Keep this consistency going.

No, I really do appreciate his post. The fact that he found time to post such insight when with his knowledge he no doubt has a job in football, how could we have ever held out until the match thread is posted before finding out this is a game we should look to win if we want to have top 4 aspirations.
I for one am very grateful as I’m unable to discern the bleeding obvious

It's great to be able to genuinely look forward to our games and REALLY want us to win, desperate in fact. Hard to call today's game as Villa are due a performance and it may well be today. Hopefully today we will have fine tuned our final ball and take our chances when they come.

Lyon - I hear what you're saying, but our fans are very happy and excited these days and I don't think Stubbo should make any apologies for that, and who knows how long it will be before Charley gets out of bed. And where is the law that says we have to all wait for Charley's thread before discussing the game, a bit cliquey that don't ya think??

Strictly speaking. If you’re at the top and want to stay there every game is big. Equally if you are at the bottom every game is big. If you want to stay in a cup run, every game is big. Only mediocre teams dont have big games all the time.
